SANSKRITI

The Society of Indian Americans at Virginia Tech would like to cordially invite you to our 10th Annual Culture Show, Sanskriti --- A Journey of Tradition through India, which will be held on April 26th 2008 in Burruss Hall at 6 p.m. We would be honored if you would join us on this journey highlighting the various cultures of India.

The Society of Indian Americans at Virginia Tech is a governing and programming body which provides students the opportunity to explore Indian culture and traditions and to bond with other students who share these common interests. SIA is a social network formed by the many volunteers and members who are committed to retaining the Indian culture at Virginia Tech. Alongside our cultural representation, we also host an array of programs, dances, cultural-evenings, semi-formals, socials and community service gatherings in a mission to make its members feel at home and united.

Each year the Society of Indian Americans hosts an annual culture show in the spring semester which features a variety of acts displaying the Indian culture. All of these acts are performed and choreographed by the various members in our organization who are dedicated to showcasing the Indian culture to the Virginia Tech community. This show is our largest and most important event for the year. Everything we do throughout the year is to make this show a delight for our audience and to also educate them about the Indian culture.

Your attendance at this year?s show would be greatly appreciated since not only will you be greatly entertained, but you will also help propagate Indian culture and ideals throughout Virginia Tech and its students. As your sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, and friends, we hope you can attend the show and support our hard work. Admission to the show is free, and doors open at 6:00pm so please make sure you are on time because seating is first-come-first-serve for this amazing show.
